OLD BOY, MAX GIMBLETT TAKES ART CLASS

Internationally-acclaimed artist and Old Boy, Max Gimblett returned again to King's on Friday to take a group of boys for a special art class. Headmaster joined the group working with Max, all of whom were extremely fortunate to get to work close-up with the reknowned artist. Max's works are currently being exhibited at the Guggenheim Museum in New York.

LEADERS' COMMISSIONING SERVICE

The school leaders for 2010 were officially recognized on Friday morning at a special assembly for the whole school. At the service the Headmaster outlined what he considered the main responsibilities of the leaders to be, and handed each boy with his leadership badge. GRANDPARENTS' DAYS AT SCHOOL

On Thursday and Friday morning the school was filled with some very special visitors as grandparents and special friends came to spend some time with their boys. The visitors were treated to some wonderful music from the school choirs and the Jazz Band before joining their boys for a visit to their classrooms.

KING'S BOYS WIN PRIZE FOR CRICKET

3 Year 6 boys, Anthony Benfell, Will Boyden and James Lewis won a 5 team cricket skills competition at the break in the recent one day cricket international between the Black Caps and Australia played at Eden Park. The prize was a $5,000.00 donation to the winning club from the National Bank. A fantastic boost for the Indoor Cricket Facility fundraising project at Parnell Cricket Club. Well done boys!
